In line with the whole “life is never dull” theme, today I took Isla to Chick Fil A for lunch, and literally 2 seconds after she climbed into the play area I get a call from Jack’s teacher. He was wrestling with friends on the playground and fell face-first into an ant bed. Poor guy had bites all over his face, EYE and arms. Ugh, so then I had to literally crawl into the playscape and drag Isla out by the feet- kicking and screaming, naturally. She was pissed.
Anyway, we drove 90 mph to Jack’s school- luckily he’s fine, just a swollen eyelid. Nothing that a little Bendaryl can’t fix.
It looks super sad though, right?
Tonight was our official Pumpkin Carving Night. Jack is hilarious- he wants NO part of the pumpkin guts. All day he kept asking me, “So I’m not touching the inside of the pumpkin, right?”

Well tomorrow the Halloween partying begins- Isla’s class party tomorrow, then our MOPS Halloween parade on Friday AM and Jack’s class party on Friday. Fun, fun!
